2022 Metropolitan Region Quiz Rally
This year, FCHPC Gold competed in the Metro Quiz rally, taking home second place and qualifying for 2022 Championships at the Tryon Equestrian Center in Tryon, NC.
2022 Metropolitan Region Horseless Rally
FCHPC Gold competed in the Metro Horseless rally, taking home second place (again!). Our two members (blue polo shirts) scrambled with two Meadow Brook Hounds members (black polos) for this fun day of on-foot dressage tests, stadium jumping courses and a cross-country scavenger hunt. Horseless rallies are great preparation for mounted ones later in the season as they allow members to practice skills needed for taking care of a horse minus the stress of actually being responsible for them.
2022 Gold Dragoons Polo Match
FCHPC attended a Gold Dragoons polo match, hosted by the Fairfield Hunt Club. Watching the match and chatting with the players (one of whom is a former FCHPC member!) allowed our Pony Clubbers to gain a better understanding of this fun equestrian sport! Who knew the team's goals switch each time a point is scored?!
2021 Events
2021 Metro Region Virtual Dressage Rally
FCHPC participated in the 2021 Virtual Dressage Rally - because even a pandemic can't stop us from riding! Many thanks to Access Equestrian Pony Club for hosting such an amazing event! D & A picked up a first place for their DSO Musical Freestyle with a 70.14% (wow!), C won the Intro A and Intro B divisions, and the whole team placed first for Horse Management, leading FCHPC to victory in their first virtual rally!
2021 D1 & D2 Certification Days
After a bit of a delay due to COVID-19, three of our FCHPC member were (finally!) able to take their D2 certifications in Dressage and Horse Management, while two of our new members were able to take their D1 in Dressage, Show Jumping, Cross Country, and Horse Management. Everyone passed with flying colors. All of our riders have worked super hard for this moment and we're so proud of their accomplishments!
